Inane Twilight Princess Rumors
Written by Supercow98

In the mystery that surrounds Nintendo's upcoming game, The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess, many rumors begin to surround the game. We, over here at Dusk, have decided to gather all of these rumors into one easy to reference article. Our writers and staff have gone far and wide to gather all of these rumors just for you!

This game will not be on the Nintendo Gamecube

Perhaps one of the biggest rumors floating about is that this game will not be on the GCN. The rumor says that this game will not even be on Nintendo's new console the Revolution, but rather the less-than-successful N-Gage. This rumor came into being when some fan noticed that N-Gage started with N, just like Nintendo, and since they both start with N, Twilight Princess must be coming out for the N-Gage. In addition to it being for the N-Gage, one will have to buy a mega graphics update card, provided by the big N itself.

It is said that when this information is finally released, Nintendo and Nokia will merge to form Nintenkia, and will cease to make games for Consoles, but rather only for cell-phones. The Revolution won't be a game system at all, but rather an incredibly advanced cell-phone charger, will the ability to play all games on the phone on an HD-TV (HD-TV required). Nintendo has currently said nothing about this merger, but Nokia has been very active in voicing it, but since no one listens to the maker of the N-Gage, no one has heard about it.

Voice Acting will be used

Not only will voice acting be used in the game, but so will epic cut scenes (a la Final Fantasy). That's right, this rumor states that the Twilight Princess will take advantage of the new possibilities of voice acting along with cut scenes that will change how we perceive the Zelda series forever. Many ask, "Who could possibly play the legendary characters of Link and Zelda?" Well, it's already been done, it is rumored that the legendary characters will be played by those who played them in the unforgettable The Legend of Zelda Cartoon that appeared in the early 90's. Legendary sayings such as "EXCUUUUUSE ME, PRINCESS" will return in a whole new way as Link saves Zelda yet again.

The question then arises, "how will they do the cutscenes?" The answer to this is, again, they already have done cutscenes in a Zelda game, these can be found in The Legend of Zelda: Wand of Gamelon, and Link: The Faces of Evil. Cutscenes will utilize this graphics engine to launch the series to new heights, and include sayings such as "So, how about that kiss?" and "What are all those heads?"

Who is Midna?

Another big question surrounding the game is, who exactly is this witch that rides on Link when he's in wolf form? The developers have stated that she will play a fairly large role outside the Twilight Realm. Theories have been developing about her since her first appearance in the third trailer, which was shown at E3 of 2005. These theories include that she will be Link's shadow, or even the Legendary Blade itself, The Master Sword.

However, over at Dusk we have discovered the most plausible rumor that makes the most sense. This is that Midna will take on the form of Epona's second cousin's roommate back from the good old days in college. Why does this make sense, many ask? Because, we answer, if you look back into The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and you look into Epona's eyes, you can clearly see that she is constantly staring at one particular horse. After examining the horse she stares at you can see that this particular horse two things can be gathered. She shares many of the same characteristics as Epona, but not enough to be a direct relative, making her a second cousin, and that she has a subtle hatred for Link that can be seen in her eyes. Since she has never met Link until this point it can be gathered that she heard bad things about him a long time ago, and we all know that rumors spread easily from college roommate to college roommate. So it can be gathered that this horse's college roommate had some bad encounter with Link, or someone that looked like Link, in the past. This means she wants revenge, and what better revenge than being able to ride Link like a dog, literally, for part of the next Zelda game? It makes perfect sense.

Use of the Revolution Controller

The biggest announcement we've had over the past few months is that TP will be able to use the Revolution's Controller for a whole new experience in a Zelda game. The Revolution will be able to use a variety of attachments that will allow for a whole new realm of gaming. Many attachments have been thought up by fans that could be used in the world of TP. One of these attachments is the almighty pokey finger of doom. This attachment will allow the player to use an enlarged index finger to point at things in the game, causing them to instantly explode. This attachment will be perfect for battles against multiple enemies on the fields of Hyrule.

Another attachment that has been thought up is the spray can, this attachment will allow Link to spray his mark of the Triforce of Courage over every tree, house, wall, and even horse in the Land of Hyrule. The player will be awarded rupees for the quality of the design. In order for the player to experience the full potential of the game, they must purchase all of the rumored 264 attachments available for the Nintendo Revolution that will be compatible for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
